Internet Insurance Sales with Pay Per Click Advertising

I found this article on pay per click marketing for insurance websites, and I think it is worth a read. A lot of insurance agents build great websites, and then they are upset because nobody comes to visit it!

It can take a long time to build natural search listings. By natural search, I mean the search results that come up when you enter a search term in major websites like Google, Yahoo, or MSN. This traffic is considered "free traffic", but it takes time and effort to do the work to make a website in a competitive field like insurance to actually rank well.

On the other hand, pay per click traffic can come right away, and you are able to set a budget and a bid amount for each visitor. You only pay for actual visitors, unlike other advertising where you pay for the circulation of a newspaper or tv ad.

insurance agent marketing success

If you are a frustrated insurance marketer, or a new insurance agent, you should keep something in mind. Many people jump into insurance marketing as a last resort, and they are in a position where they are already financially distressed.

However, really, starting out as an insurance agent is like starting out in any small business. It will take some time to get a pipeline built and find steady revenues. Before that, you may need to invest in your business in ways like buying leads, office supplies, etc. So, while some insurance systems may let you in with very little money up front, most of the time you will need to have to be able to hae some time to wait for revenues.

Look at this article on Success In Insurance Marketing.

Converting Old Leads and B Leads

I think a lot of insurance agents are too hooked on shiny new leads. I believe the real secret to long term success is to build a pipeline. Prospects are not always ready to decide the minute you need a sale. It is just an unpleasant truth for many agents, but it does not have to be.

In fact, look at this company's experiene with converting older insurance sales prospects into clients. They claim that their average sale comes from a lead that was generated at least one month before. The first contact is not always making the sale, and you do not have to sell on the first phone call or appointment to sell later.

In fact, you should have a system in place to gather contact information, survey a client for needs, and then stay in contact in order to squeeze every ounce of production from your lead budget. You may be missing out on a huge percentage of potential profit by neglecting older leads!

You can also usually obtain older leads very cheaply, and sometimes even for free. So if you have that contact system in place, why not use it?

Many salespeople and businesspeople are frustrated because they have spent a lot of money developing a great website and building traffic, only to find that most visitors do not respond to the message by picking up the phone, sigining up for a newsletter, or filling out an internet form!

Internet Insurance Website Traffic -- Get Listed Now

If you already have an insurance website, make sure you get some links to your website for maximum traffic. Consumers can Find Insurance Agents online with our free insurance directory.

The thing is, when searchers go to a big search engine, they will find so many insurance websites it will be hard to find yours. For instance, many sites are carefully optimized to be found on specific words. Our listing will help your website get found, not just on our directory, but by targetting keywords to help searchers find your site everywhere.

Right now listings are free. If websites have some content -- and are not just big ads, then you do not need to link back. If you do link back you can get better placement though!
